Just found out the official mileage for the Lost Coast Trail is wrong by almost 2 miles, and I saw it on a ranger's map at the Sinkyone station.

Seriously? That's a big difference for a trail like that. Always add an extra buffer to your water and food plans, just in case.

That's a good rule, but the extra miles are mostly on the easier southern end. Still throws off your timing.
