Blisters killed my pace on the Appalachian Trail section
Last week, I hiked a 20-mile section of the AT and got terrible blisters by mile 10. I had new boots that felt fine at first, but the friction built up fast, and I had to slow down a lot. What's your go-to method for preventing blisters on multi-day trips?

Did you not break those boots in at all before a 20-miler? That's a bold move. My only trick is slapping on moleskin the second I feel a hot spot, and then wrapping it all with that paper tape.

lol rookie move, I once did the same thing with brand-new boots and paid for it for days. @emma_mitchell is right, gotta stop and tape up those hot spots before they turn into full-on war zones.
