Told my brother I could only lend him $200 not $2,000, and he actually thanked me
My brother asked for $2,000 for a truck repair in Tucson. I said no, I could do $200, no strings, and braced for a fight. He said okay, then called two weeks later to say he sold his old dirt bike and covered the rest himself. Turns out saying the smaller number out loud made him look at what he actually had. Has anyone else had a flat no go smoother than the half yes?
