My sister insisted I charge our cousin for the 3 nights she crashed at my place in Denver, and I'm so glad I finally did.
She said 'you're not a free hotel' and after I sent a $300 request, the constant 'just passing through' visits stopped for good, so has anyone else had to set a money boundary with family that felt super uncomfortable at first?

And honestly, it's just like that thing where people will keep taking until you make it cost them something, whether it's money or their own time and effort. Once you put a price on it, you find out real quick who was actually valuing you versus just taking advantage of your space.
