Just had the talk with my dad about him co-signing his girlfriend's car loan
He said she's good for it but I pointed out he's still paying off her last car from 3 years ago and that shut him up fast. Anybody else have to convince a parent to stop being a wallet for someone else?

Oh man, been there, done that, got the stress headache to prove it. My mom co-signed for her "soulmate's" truck, and when I asked if he paid for the last one she "borrowed" money for, she just stared at the wall. It's like they think love will cover the payments or something. Good for you for laying out the cold hard math. Maybe your dad will think twice before he's on the hook for another "good for it" deal that somehow turns into him covering the tab for years.

Whoa wait, your dad is still paying off her last car from three years ago and he was ready to do it again? That's wild, man. Honestly it sounds like he's not even thinking about his own money, just trying to please her. Ngl you probably saved him from making a bad move twice.
