That one week where every connector I touched worked on first try

Had a stretch last Tuesday through Thursday where every single D-sub and cannon plug I crimped and tested passed continuity on the first go. Even the old King radio tray in a 172 that usually fights back just clicked into place. Felt like I was in the zone or something. Anyone else have those random golden weeks where nothing fights you?

Connectors are like that though... they seem to have their own mysterious timing. The same type of thing happens with my old pickup truck. Some weeks the starter cranks up first try every day, then other weeks it's like the battery knows I'm in a hurry and just sits there clicking. Had a run last month where every single hose clamp I touched tightened up perfectly without stripping or slipping, then the next week three of them in a row chewed up my knuckles. It's almost like the universe gives you a quiet week as a reward for surviving all the bad ones.

Yeah I don't know, @william816, I think you might be overthinking it a little. Connectors are just pieces of plastic and metal, they don't have moods or a sense of timing. You probably just had a run of good luck with the hoses and then normal bad luck when your hands were sore already from the first few. I've had days where I drop the same bolt three times in a row but it's usually because I'm rushing or not paying attention, not because the universe is keeping score. My truck does the same thing yours does, but I figure it's just temperature swings or corrosion in the terminals, not some kind of mechanical karma system.
