That Gulfstream 650 pilot who blamed my wiring for his nav failure
Had a pilot chew me out at KSDL last Tuesday. Said my connector work caused his GPS to drop out over Phoenix. Checked the logs and found his co-pilot bumped the rack while stowing a bag. 2 hours of my time wasted proving I was clean. Anyone else catch heat for something that wasn't your fault?

Jump right in with the co-pilot thing, but here's the angle nobody's thought of: maybe the nav failure was actually a software handoff issue, not the rack bump at all. I've seen G650s get weird with the FMS transition between terminal and enroute modes, especially around Phoenix airspace where the terrain crap can mess with satellite reception. And @the_seth, your map checking excuse might be more plausible than you think, because if they were pulling up approach plates on a tablet, that could've also interfered with the GPS signal through the cockpit glass. That copilot bumping the rack was just the convenient scapegoat while the real gremlin was hiding in the firmware all along.
