Swapped my old analog ohmmeter for a Fluke 289 last month

The analog unit kept giving me false continuity readings on a Cessna wing harness, wasted a whole afternoon chasing a break that wasn't there. The Fluke's millivolt drop function found the actual corroded pin in 20 minutes flat. Anyone else ditched their old gear after one bad call like that?
