Old school analog multimeter vs digital for continuity checks

I kept a beat-up analog meter for years because I swore it caught intermittent shorts better. Finally ditched it after missing a bad relay on a King KX 155 that a $40 Fluke found in 10 seconds. Anyone else hang onto old gear longer than they should?

Kept my old Simpson 260 for years but a cheap digital meter found a bad solder joint the analog one missed completely.

Nope, a good analog meter will catch things a cheap digital one blinks right past every time.
