Just found out the FAA requires us to log every single software version change on an IFE system, not just major updates
I was reading through some old advisory circulars last night after a buddy told me I was probably missing something. Turns out AC 20-115D has specific wording about tracking even minor bug fix versions for entertainment systems. I've been at this for 6 years and never caught that detail. Has anyone else been burned by an audit over this kind of thing?

Wait seriously every single little bug fix version has to be logged too?

No kidding though... it's like how my grocery store app now has a full page of patch notes for every update. "Fixed a typo in the produce section" and "adjusted the shade of green on the checkout button" like anyone cares. @xena886 they're probably covering their tails legally or something, same way my job makes me sign off on every tiny change in the company handbook. But still feels like overkill, you know?
