Just finished recabling a G1000 rack after 3 months of intermittent faults. The difference is night and day.

Read a case study about how bad cabling causes most intermittent avionics faults. Makes total sense that a full rewire fixed your issues. Glad you got it sorted out!

Heard the same thing from an old A&P mechanic.

Read a case study" - that's the part I gotta call out, not because you're wrong, but because those case studies usually talk about coax cable or shielded wire problems. The real issue is more basic than that. Most intermittent avionics faults come from ground loops or bad connections at the terminals, not the wire itself. You can have perfect cable and still have a fault if the connector is loose or corroded. I've seen people chase ghosts for weeks only to find a pin that wasn't fully seated. So yeah, a rewire helps, but only if you're also replacing every single connector and cleaning every grounding point. Otherwise you're just swapping old cable for new cable with the same bad terminations.
