Honestly, that old Garmin G1000 display in the Cessna 172 gave me a real scare last Friday. The thing just went black mid-check.

Yeah it's wild how tech from just a few years back feels ancient now. Like my old GPS would tell me to turn down a road that's been closed for two years. Same thing happens with phones, a model from 2018 struggles with apps today. Makes you wonder how we ever got by with that stuff.

Remember when the iPhone 6 was considered top of the line? Now it can barely run a basic banking app without crashing. The hardware might still work fine, but the software support just gets dropped after a few years and you're stuck. Is it really that hard for companies to keep old devices usable for longer, or do they just want us to keep buying new stuff?
