Wrote off plastic bumper repair for years, until a guy in Toledo proved me wrong with a $30 kit
For about 6 years I refused to touch cracked plastic bumpers, always pushed customers toward a full replacement because I figured patch jobs would come back to bite me. Last week a guy named Dale from a body shop over in Toledo showed me his method with a $30 plastic welder kit and some mesh staples, and the repair on a 2018 Camry cover held up solid. I still think replacements make sense for big tears, but I was too stubborn on the small stuff. Anyone here running staples on daily drivers, and how are they holding up after a couple winters?
