Tried polishing a headlight with toothpaste, my kid's SpongeBob tube worked better than my $40 kit
Did a 2006 Camry last Saturday as a favor and the owner asked if I could clear up his yellow lenses, so I grabbed the whitening paste in the bathroom instead of walking out to the shop. Two minutes of rubbing and one side looked newer than the bottle of compound sitting on my bench, which is a little insulting after 14 years in this trade. What's the weirdest household thing you've grabbed when the right tool was too far away?
