What's worse, the storm or the paperwork? Adjusters make a bad time so much harder with all their delays and low offers... I'd take another hailstorm over dealing with them again.

Seriously, the paperwork is a special kind of awful! @tylerg30 is totally right about the low offers and delays making everything worse. My big lesson was to take a ton of photos and videos of all the damage right away, before anything gets cleaned up. Then, write down every single thing you talk about with the adjuster, including dates and names. It creates a paper trail that can really help push things along when they try to lowball or stall.
