Saw a 1998 F-150 come in with original paint that looked brand new after a cut and buff
The truck had been sitting in a barn in Omaha for about 15 years. The clear coat was chalky white all over. We did a three-step compound and polish by hand, no machine. The red single-stage paint underneath came back to a deep shine you could see your face in. It made me miss when paint was that thick and simple to work with. Anyone else run into old single-stage jobs that just need some love?

Old single stage is the best, it's like bringing a car back from the dead. Modern clear coats just don't have that same soul.

True, @evan_carr, but that single stage sun fade is brutal.
