Rant: That $1200 frame machine rental was a total waste for my home shop

I had a 2012 F-150 with a tweaked frame rail from a curb hit. The rental place swore their system could handle it, but the anchor points were wrong for that truck model. I spent a full day just trying to get it set up right before giving up. Has anyone in a small shop found a better way to pull frames without dropping that kind of cash?

Ugh! Try a local body shop for a quick pull.

Yeah, diana's idea about a quick pull is probably the smartest move here. Lucas_jenkins mentioned it might not have been that bad to start with, and a good body shop can do a minor pull for way less than replacing the whole panel. I had a similar dent on my old truck and a shop charged me like 80 bucks to pop it out, looked fine after. Just make sure they match the paint right if they have to blend anything.

Maybe @davis.diana is right and it wasn't that bad to begin with.
