Rant: A customer's dashcam caught me using the wrong paint code and I got embarrassed hard

Had a job on a 2018 Honda Accord come through last month. Looked like a simple door respray. I matched the code on the door sticker, sprayed it, looked fine. Customer came back 3 days later, pulled out their dashcam footage from inside the car. They showed me the color mismatch in direct sunlight next to the quarter panel. I missed it because I didn't check the VIN for a different production batch. The code on the sticker was right but the paint formula had a revision that year. Had to redo the whole door on my dime. Anyone else run into this where the factory paint code doesn't tell the whole story?

That Honda batch revision got me last year on a Civic, real pain.

Did you end up fixing it yourself or taking it to a shop, @thea143? I swear my garage is just a shrine to my own bad decisions at this point.
