Four hours on a bumper cover, turned out to be a bad ground strap
Last Tuesday I had a 2018 Civic come in with the passenger side parking sensor going off randomly. I checked the wiring, swapped the sensor, even ran a diagnostic that kept pointing to a short. After four hours of chasing my tail, I pulled the bumper cover off completely and found the ground strap near the frame rail was corroded almost through. That one little strap took me longer than the whole bumper repair would have. Has anyone else dealt with phantom electrical gremlins that turn out to be a simple ground issue? I swear I need to check those first before anything else now.
