Finally got the hang of blending that metallic blue on the '18 F-150 hood

Two months ago my blends on tri-coats looked like a bad paint-by-numbers, but after practicing on scrap panels every Friday for a month, the match is spot on. The key was really nailing the air pressure and keeping my arm moving at the same speed the whole pass. What's the one thing that made blending click for you guys?
