Bought a $700 paint booth filter setup, still got overspray everywhere

I thought upgrading to those expensive pleated filters would finally stop the dust and overspray mess in my shop in Tulsa. Spent 3 weekends installing the whole rig, sealed everything up, looked perfect. Ran a test fender today and the suction pulled the filter right out of the frame, paint haze got all over the new pearl coat. Anyone else had a similar fail with high-dollar filtration, or did I just get a bad mounting kit?
