A painter at the shop kept calling my primer coats 'soupy' so I finally timed my reducer
He said it at least 5 times last week, so I grabbed a stopwatch and found I was mixing 10% too much reducer on cold mornings, which is why my sealer kept flashing weird. Anybody else change their mix ratio based on shop temp instead of just following the sheet?
Tbh "following the sheet" is literally what the sheet is for, it's a starting point tested at 70 degrees and messing with it every time the shop gets a little cold is how you end up chasing your own tail. If your sealer keeps flashing weird, that's a product problem or a gun problem, not a reason to freestyle your ratios.
