That redditor told me to stop stacking filters on my telescope, and he was totally right.
I wasted three clear nights in February trying to shoot Orion through a light pollution filter AND a moon filter stacked together, and when I finally took the moon filter off, the details in the nebula popped like I never saw before anyone else here ever double-stacked filters and ruined their own shots?

Wait, you're saying you just stacked them both at the same time? I always thought more filters meant more control, but you're making me rethink my whole setup.

Trust me, I wasted a whole month trying to tame star spikes before I realized my cheap UV filter was the problem. Just run one filter at a time and swap them out instead of stacking.
