That one comment about my nebula stacking that made me redo 3 months of work

I posted an Orion Nebula shot I was pretty proud of and someone just said 'your stars look like donuts.' At first I laughed but then I googled it and realized my focus was slightly off on every single subframe. I ended up going back through 47 raw frames from last December and rejecting 22 of them that had those donut-shaped stars. The final stack came out way sharper but man that was a boring Saturday. Anyone else get blind to their own flaws until someone points them out?

Whoa wait, you actually went through 47 raw frames one by one? That is some next level dedication right there. I would have just angrily blamed the atmosphere and moved on.
