Spent 2 hours fixing star trails and the fix was one setting
I kept getting blurry star pictures and thought my tripod was junk. Turns out I had my快门 release delay set to 2 seconds instead of using mirror lockup. Has anyone else wasted a whole night on one menu option?

Oh man, I did the same thing with exposure delay mode and lost a whole night of astro shots too!

Honestly @schmidt.willow, gotta say I think people make way too big a deal about losing a night of astro shots. Like yeah it sucks but you live and learn, right? There's always another clear night coming if you live somewhere with decent skies. I've messed up way worse stuff before and just moved on. Bet you won't make that mistake again so now you're actually better off. Plus digital photos take up no space so it's not like you wasted film or anything valuable. Just a learning moment.
