Shoutout to the Hubble Deep Field image that blew my mind
I just found out that one tiny patch of sky in the Hubble Deep Field, which looks empty to the naked eye, contains over 3,000 galaxies and some of them are 13 billion years old - has anyone else felt small after looking at that photo?

And it's not just that we're small, but like... we're late to the party. Those galaxies are already gone by now, we're just seeing their ghosts from way back when. Really makes you wonder what's out there right this second that we'll never get to see.

But isn't that kind of beautiful though? We get to see these snapshots of the universe from so long ago, almost like time travel in a way... Maybe it's better not knowing what's happening right now, keeps things mysterious.
