Saturn photo from my backyard last month came out blurry

I finally got my telescope aligned right on a clear night last month but the Saturn photo was a fuzzy mess. Turns out I forgot to adjust the focus ring after swapping eyepieces. Has anyone else ruined a good shot with a simple mistake like that?

Forgot to take the lens cap off last weekend when I was trying to get Jupiter. Spent a good 20 minutes outside in the cold before I realized the viewfinder was totally black. Felt like a real genius standing there freezing for nothing.

20 solid minutes in the cold with the lens cap on... did you at least get a good laugh out of it afterward or were you too pissed off to see the humor
