Totally agree that timer trick works. My own problem is I hit the button then immediately shift my weight like an idiot. Defeats the whole purpose. I have the steady hands of someone who drank six coffees. Still end up with blurry pics because my body just won't listen. Got a whole gallery of almost great shots.
That pro mode with a timer tip is a lifesaver. Camera shake ruins so many good shots, like when you're trying to get a clear picture at night and everything just comes out blurry. I've messed up too many zoomed-in shots thinking my hands were steady enough. Leaning against a wall helps sometimes, but that two-second delay is the real fix.
