I thought the guy posting moon pics from his driveway was faking it until I saw his setup
There's a guy in my neighborhood Facebook group who posts these crazy sharp moon shots, and I figured he was just pulling them off Google. Last Saturday he invited a few of us over to his driveway in Fresno to look through his scope, a 8 inch Dobsonian he got used for $300. He showed me his laptop with the stacked frames, like 500 of them run through a free program, and the craters honestly looked better than the photos. Now I'm out here wondering, how many of the pics I scroll past are actually just one guy in his driveway with a cheap scope and a lot of patience?
