Well, that's a good start, but @sethr11, I learned the hard way that a steady tripod matters just as much.

Tripods are for people who don't know how to brace themselves against something solid. A brick wall or a parking curb works better than half the cheap tripods out there. Some of my sharpest shots were taken with the camera sitting on a trash can.
