Watch out at the Cahokia Mounds, vandalism is getting worse there

I was at Cahokia last weekend and saw someone had carved initials into one of the smaller mounds near the visitor center. Park ranger told me they've caught 4 people doing this just this month.

Had the rangers said anything about what kind of people are doing it, like locals or tourists just passing through...
