I finally got clean plaster edges using blue tape the right way
I used to get jagged edges every time I pulled tape off fresh plaster, even waiting the full 24 hours. Then an old painter told me to score the tape with a utility knife before pulling it off at a 45 degree angle. Has anyone else tried this trick or do you use something different?

Press the tape down real good before you paint. I mean if you don't press it down the paint seeps under and you get those jagged edges anyway. That scoring trick works but only if you let the plaster dry hard enough first. Maybe it's just me but I found pulling the tape off while the paint is still kind of wet gives the cleanest line of all.
