Last month at the Fort Ancient site I kept missing tiny sherds because I was raking too fast. My field supervisor told me to slow down and use a trowel edge instead of the wide blade, and I pulled up 14 fragments in one afternoon. Anyone else have a moment where a veteran digger completely changed their screening technique?
