Spent 10 years trimming trees with dull shears before a buddy called me out

I was cutting a big limb on a client's oak last Tuesday in Austin when my friend laughed and said my cuts looked like a beaver did them. He handed me his sharpened Felco 2s and I cut through a 2-inch branch like butter - now I sharpen every Sunday.

Man I feel THIS in my bones. Tried to cut up some cardboard boxes last week with a knife that had been sitting in a drawer for months and I swear I nearly put my hand through the table trying to force it through. Then the other day my neighbor brought over his FILTHY pruning shears to borrow and I just handed them back and said nope not even gonna bother. People act like sharpening or replacing tools is some huge chore but it literally saves you time and energy every single time.
