Old timer at a job site in Queens told me to sharpen my saw every 3 cuts

I was grinding through a tough oak removal last summer in Queens and this retired arborist just walks up and says that. I thought he was crazy until I tried it and my cuts got way cleaner. Anyone else ever get a random tip like that from a stranger on site?

My grandfather told me the same thing back in '82 and I thought he was just trying to get me to stop complaining. Turns out the old guy was right, go figure.

Gotta say I see this one a bit differently than @diana_moore75. In my experience stopping that often just breaks your rhythm and eats up time you could spend cutting. Your mileage may vary but I'd rather do a quick touch up at the start of the job and again halfway through.
