A city inspector's remark made me change how I prune near power lines
Last month in Tacoma, an inspector watched me deadwood a maple by a service drop. He said my clearance was fine but my cuts left too many stubs on the low side. Told me to drop the branch back to a lateral or the union, even if it means a bigger wound. I started doing that on all line-side work and the regrowth is way less aggressive. Anyone else get pushback from inspectors on cut placement, or is it just our jurisdiction?
