Told to swap a dryer belt without pulling the drum, and it cost me a callback
Back in March a guy I came up with at the supply house on Foster Ave told me I could skip pulling the drum on a Whirlpool cabrio belt job and just fish the belt around the pulley from the front, said he does it every time and saves 40 minutes. I tried it on a customer's unit and the belt slipped off the idler twice in the first week, so I ate a free return trip and the guy stopped taking my calls about it. What shortcuts have you picked up from someone that sounded solid but ended up biting you on a callback?
