$35 for a cheap pump on a $600 dishwasher? Yikes.

Oh wow I really disagree with that take. $35 is nothing when you compare it to the cost of replacing the whole dishwasher or having to pay a repair guy to come out twice. I've seen cheap pumps last just as long as OEM ones in my own kitchen, and sometimes longer actually. Plus the off brand part had decent reviews online and came with a warranty so I figured why not save the money. These dishwashers are built pretty simple inside, it's not like you're messing with the computer or something critical. I'd rather spend the extra $40 on a nice dinner than on a plastic pump made in the same factory anyway.
