Found out the hard way that dishwasher pumps need a shim in some builds
Installed a new motor in a KitchenAid last Tuesday and it vibrated like crazy until I slid a 1/4 inch plastic shim under the mounting bracket. Turns out the tub had sagged just enough over a decade of heavy use. Anyone else run into this on older models or do I just get lucky with worn out units?

That sagging tub might mean the door seal is off by more than you think, check the gap before you blame the pump.
