Found an old Maytag at a farm estate sale that still runs like day one
Drove out to a place near Waco last weekend for a washer pickup and ended up wandering the estate sale they had going. There was this 1982 Maytag wringer washer sitting in the barn, still hooked to a garden hose. The owner's grandson said it outlasted three modern machines they bought after the farm shut down. I plugged it in and it cycled perfectly, quiet as a library. Made me wonder if we're trading reliability for all these circuit boards that fail in five years. Anyone else run into old units that just refuse to die, and what do you do with them?
