Vent: My upstairs neighbor dropped a bowling ball at 2am (or maybe it was something else)
I was crashing on my couch last Tuesday when a THUD shook my whole living room and I swore someone rolled a bowling ball across the floor above me. Turns out my neighbor was just moving his heavy oak dresser at 2 in the morning without sliders or anything. Has anyone else had to figure out if weird sounds from upstairs are regular life or actual construction?

Tracking the patterns in their footsteps" - oh man, that's exactly what I ended up doing with my old neighbor. I had this guy above me who would pace back and forth every night from like 11pm to 2am, and I got so used to it that when he stopped one night I actually got worried and knocked on his door to check if he was okay. Turned out he was just out of town for a week. My dog even started looking up at the ceiling during his normal pacing times waiting for the footsteps to start.
