The 4-week mystery of my vibrating fridge finally got solved
I moved into this place last March and for a solid month I thought the upstairs neighbor ran some kind of machine at night. The fridge hummed, but every so often it would shake the whole kitchen wall. I tried leveling it, cleaning the coils, even put a towel under the feet. Nothing. Finally my buddy who does appliance repair came over and pointed at the ice maker line. There was a kink in the copper tube that made the compressor work double time. Fixed it in 5 minutes with a pair of pliers. Has anyone else had a weird appliance noise that turned out to be something dumb like that?
