Saw a guy in the unit below mine wedge a pool noodle under his door and now I'm wondering if it really kills noise
I was dropping off a package at my neighbor's place in Austin last week and noticed he had a pool noodle slice jammed under his front door, way thicker than the usual draft stopper you see. He swore it cut down hallway noise by half, but I'm not sure one strip of foam can do that much when my walls are already paper thin. My bedroom shares a wall with the stairwell and I hear every footstep at 6am. Has anyone actually tried the noodle trick, or is there a better cheap fix for door gaps that I'm missing?
