Wasted $240 on a fancy scheduling app, went back to a paper notebook
I run a small roofing crew and thought I was being smart last spring by dropping $240 a year on that scheduling software everyone raves about. Took me two months to realize I was spending more time entering job details and chasing app glitches than I ever did with my old notebook. The breaking point was when it double-booked a crew in Denver and a customer called me fuming because we never showed. I switched back to a plain spiral notebook and a whiteboard in my truck, works perfect and costs nothing. That app tried to solve a problem I didn't really have, and the time I lost organizing it was way worse than the money. Anyone else pay for a tool that just made your workday messier?
