Told my boss I was "in a meeting" for 3 hours last Tuesday and watched him walk past my desk 4 times
This happened last Tuesday at my office in Boise. I blocked off 2pm to 5pm on my calendar as a client call so I could finish a report I forgot about. Around 2:30 my boss walked by, then again at 3:15, and twice more before 4pm, and each time I just nodded at my screen like I was deep in it. The funny part is he texted me at 4:45 asking how the call went and if we landed the account. I panicked and made up a name on the spot, then spent 20 minutes googling to make sure no real company had that name. Has anyone else built a whole fake client just to buy a quiet afternoon?
