The $40 label maker that saved my stockroom sanity
I work in a warehouse in Toledo and got tired of hunting for boxes by feel, so I dropped $40 on a cheap label maker. Three days later I color-coded every shelf and the new guy found a part in under a minute instead of 15. Anyone else spent a small amount on something dumb that turned into a huge win?

...and here I was thinking the only use for a label maker was printing little tags that say "do not eat" on leftover pizza in the office fridge. But no, you went and made it sound like the second coming of barcode scanners. Next thing you know, someone's gonna tell me a $5 pack of binder clips saved their marriage because they finally organized their receipts. Though honestly, if a label maker gets your new guy to stop asking me where the tape is, it's worth every penny. Just don't let it go to your head, next thing you're color coding your socks and labeling your spice rack like some kind of warehouse sage.
