Caught myself typing the same email response for 6 months before realizing I had the wrong contact info the entire time

I was cc'ing the old vendor email on every invoice dispute and wondering why nobody fixed my billing errors until a random new hire pointed out the domain was misspelled and the whole department had been ghosting me without ever reading a single message, has anyone else wasted months on a simple copy-paste mistake that made you feel like a complete idiot?

Honestly that's brutal but also hilarious in a way only time can make it. What worked for me was starting to use text expander tools for my most common replies. I set up a few templates in something like TextExpander or even just the built-in text replacement on my phone, so now I type a short code and it fills in the whole thing with the right info every time. Also got in the habit of triple-checking the "to" field before hitting send on anything important after I accidentally replied to the wrong client thread once.

Huh, actually I think you might be mixing up TextExpander with something else dude @sethb45. TextExpander is mainly for text shortcuts on desktop, the built-in text replacement on phones is completely different and way more limited.
