Call me crazy but I think 'quiet quitting' gets a bad rap

I had a conversation with my cousin Dave last Saturday in Chicago over beers, and he was going on about how quiet quitting is just lazy people making excuses. But I work in a factory where management expects 60-hour weeks and acts like you owe them your soul for a paycheck. Dave's never worked a blue collar gig in his life, so why does his take hold so much weight? Has anyone else had a chat with someone who judged your work choices without knowing your actual situation?

Ugh, tell me about it. Some people have no clue what real work looks like.

Oh man, people like Dave have all the answers for jobs they'd never survive a week in. Guess it's easy to judge when you've never had to choose between your back and your paycheck.
