Walked away from a 14-person group chat after one dinner plan went sideways
Last Tuesday I spent two hours trying to agree on a taco place in Austin with my old college friends, and someone finally said 'you're being rigid' when I pushed for a spot we'd all been to before. I left the chat mid-argument and haven't looked back, but now two of them are texting me separately asking if I'm okay. Was I the jerk for bailing on the whole group over one dinner, or is that kind of chaos just not worth my time?

Have you ever just muted a chat for a week and let everyone cool off? I did that once, and by the time I came back, they'd picked a place and nobody even remembered the fight. Groups like that survive the dumb stuff, but it's okay to step away for a bit.
