The $600 gym membership I quit after 2 months, worth it or wasteful?

I signed up for a fancy gym with a sauna and classes, paid $600 upfront, then quit after two months because I only went 4 times lol. Some say I wasted cash, but the pressure to use it made me realize I'd rather walk outside. Who else has dropped big money on something that ended up being a motivational trap?

Ha, you paid $600 to learn you like walking outside? That's a steep price for a pretty basic self-discovery. I mean, four visits means each workout cost you $150. You could've hired a personal trainer for one session and gotten way more out of it than a sauna you never used. But honestly, if that pressure made you realize you don't care about gyms, then maybe it wasn't a total waste. The real trap is paying upfront for motivation you don't actually have yet.

Call it an expensive reality check, now go enjoy those free sidewalks.
